10th Entry☺

After few weeks of doing the Smartbuilder video, at last we have complete it successfully. I don't know that I would manage to do it alone by myself, but with the help of my friends Farrah Wahidah and Farah Hani, the video has been complete successfully. Lastly I would like to thank my lecturer Madam Azida for giving us this opportunity to do this courseware. Below is the link of my courseware video.

9th Entry

For this whole week, Madam Azida thought us more on the way to use 'Smartbuilder'. My friends and I were doing it by using our own laptop. It was very hard and to make it more interesting it was even more harder. We did on the topic about Occupation for Standar 3 students. I just can't wait to finish it and publish it in the blog. 

8th Entry ☺

For this week's entry, we were assist on the way to create another educational video but this time it is in a different concept. This video is not just watching it but the kids can do exercise and practices in it. We were told to create this video by using 'Smarbuilder' app. For the first time we tried it roughly by using the computer in the lab. It was quite confusing because there were so many properties in it. I hope I could learn it more detailed and do it easily.

7th Entry😉

This week's entry I'm going to share about my experience of creating an educational video using Powtoon. At first, it was quite difficult to do it but with the help of my group members, Farrah Wahidah and Farah Hani, it became easier to create it. Our topic was about ''Ádjectives'' where we described about different kinds of fruits. We took at least a week to complete the Powtoon. As a conclusion, I would like to say that it was a new and wonderful experience for me and It will also be useful for me in future. Maybe one day I could use Powtoon for any of my slide presentation. 6th Entry🙂

For this week entry, my lecturer Madam Azida had thought us on how to create a Powtoon. PowToon is Web-based animation software that allows users to create animated presentations by manipulating pre-created objects, imported images, provided music and user created voice-overs. The reason why we were thought to create Powton is because we are going to have an upcoming assignment where we have to make an educational video using Powtoon. During my Diploma I have used Powtoon for any slide presentation. But for this session I have learnt more about how to use Powtoon. I cant wait to create the Educational video soon. 🙂

Hello there. Have you ever heard about 'Podcast'? So in this class Madam Azida had thought us about Podcast. Podcast is and audio or video file that can be downloaded to a computer or mobile via the internet. In language teaching students can create and listen to their own podcast. We can even use it for self study. So I was told to create a podcast and upload it on my blog. I was planning to record my voice of a short story entitled 'The Apple Star'. So I hope you enjoy listening to it. ☺

On this session I have learnt about the topic of 'Instructional Courseware Design'. I have understood that to make the acquisition of knowledge & skill more efficient, it is important to create instructional experiences. In order to create a good instructional courseware design it is important to know what the learners should achieve at the end of the learning experience. Before creating the courseware, we should create a 'storyboard'. For example like Powtoon that can be use as a learning app. It is a short topic and I can't wait to do the educational video and upload it on my blog ☺

3rd Entry☺

For this session, Madam Azida has thought us about Computer Mediated Communication or in short is CMC. CMC is a form of communication between two or more people with using separate computers through a network connection. There are 2 types of CMC which are asynchronous and synchronous CMC. It is also implemented for distance learning. I feel like it would be very helpful for learners to learn with others by using CMC. That's all from me ☺

2nd Entry☺

Since I was absent for two weeks, I printed all the notes from cloveclouds.blogspot.com and I tried to read and understand it by my own. The chapters are, Introduction to CALL, Evolution of CALL and Search Engines & Online Database.

In the chapter of 'Introduction to CALL', the term CALL is Computer Assisted Language Learning that refers to a technology used to teach and learn second language. When a learner uses this app, he/she can improves their language. There are 4 CALL Programs which are CALL-Specific Software, Generic Software, Web-based Learning Programs and CMC. I have also learnt that what a computer can and can't do. 

For the chapter 'Evolution of CALL', I have learnt that there are 3 progression of CALL which are behaviouristic CALL, communicative CALL, integrated CALL. Other than just playing games in the computer, computer also has its roles. Computer Mediated Communication (CMC)  is an authentic two-way communication where students can directly communicate with other learners of the language. I feel so impressed to know that computer has so much benefits in it.

Lastly for the chapter 'Search Engine & Online Database', I have learnt that Search Engines is when you search the web, these Web Search Engine rank the result of your query, usually be relevance. Examples of web search engines are Google & Alta. Furthermore, database often work in a similar way where you can search for the information you need, but it helps to know how to best conduct your search.

Holla everyone.. Firstly I was very excited to learn this subject because it is something to do with internet since nowadays everyone surfs the internet everyday. For the first week, Madam Azida explained to us about the introduction and also the objectives of the subject. Internet and as well as other technologies can be used as a tool for language learning. We will also learn the use of various computer software and its application. Futhermore, Madam Azida introduced to us our course assessment. The course assessment has:

- Quiz = 20%
- Blog = 20%
- Article Review - 10%
- Educational Video = 20%
- E-learning Courseware = 30%

These course assessment gives us the total of 100% and thank god there is no any final exam.. :)
Lastly, we were told to create our own blog through our gmail account. I have created a blog on the name 'Bazriah's Blog'.
